Tax Manager

Carr Talent

• Review and oversee preparation of individual, partnership, S-corporation, and business tax returns. • Provide proactive tax planning for individuals and closely held businesses. • Research complex tax issues and communicate practical solutions. • Mentor, coach, and review the work of tax preparers. • Help improve tax workflows, quality control, and department processes. • Monitor changes in tax law and communicate their impact to clients and the team. • Partner closely with the owner to strengthen the firm's tax services and expand advisory offerings. • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients through clear, practical communication. • Help shape the future direction of a stable, well-respected accounting practice.

Job Requirements

  • CPA or EA designation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong public accounting or tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
  • Experience reviewing returns and providing technical guidance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring others and providing constructive feedback
  • Respect for relationship-based client service and diverse cultural backgrounds.
