Role Description The Portfolio Consultant III will drive investment management services for Wealth Advisors. The role serves as a main point of contact for Wealth Management for investment and portfolio management. Primary responsibilities include: - Meeting with Advisors to consult on portfolio strategy and objectives. - Ensuring accurate completion of investment implementations. - Supporting newly acquired firms assimilating to our investment platform and models. - Developing investment deliverables for prospective clients. - Collaborating closely with Wealth Advisors, Operations, Portfolio Management, Compliance, and Trading departments. Essential Job Functions - Concierge Level Service & Communication: - Communicate investment philosophy and available investment strategies clearly and effectively. - Provide status updates on portfolio implementations proactively and timely. - Deliver an excellent experience to our Wealth Advisor Teams in developing and implementing investment strategies. - Work both independently and within a team on multiple time-sensitive projects with high accuracy and attention to detail. - Lead presentations on various investment topics to Wealth Advisor teams. - Knowledge of Investment Management: - Support new Portfolio Consultants with developing core competencies within the investment platform. - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of capital markets and portfolio design & management. - Effectively match Advisor implementation goals with available investment strategies. - Expertise in complex investment vehicles, models, and platforms, including public and private markets. - Draft, support, and audit analytics, proposals, and deliverables for Wealth Management Teams. - Manage Efficient Process & Workflows: - Strong grasp on overall process & workflow to help troubleshoot portfolio inquiries. - Collaborate with key central teams to coordinate process improvement. - Manage standardized workflows and investment processes. - Manage portfolio implementations concurrently to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements. - Audit implementations to ensure outcomes are consistent with target portfolio objectives. - Lead the training of new hires, ensuring the team is well-prepared to deliver exceptional investment management services. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred (preferably Business, Economics, Psychology, or Finance related). - CFP® and/or Series 65 required. - CFA or advanced degree preferred. - Minimum 3 years of financial industry related experience. - Working knowledge of Orion and Morningstar preferred. - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred, including advanced data analytics. - Strong problem-solving experience and skills. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a highly collaborative approach. - Organized and detail-oriented. - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Requirements - This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. - At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs. Working Conditions - This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. - Basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. - Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. - No heavy lifting over 10 lbs. - Travel assumed up to 10% of the time.
