Job Requirements
- 8+ years experience with Java, including expertise in Java 11+ or higher
- Extensive experience designing large-scale systems using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- Strong experience leading migrations from monolithic architectures to microservices or modular architectures
- Experience designing event-driven architectures and high-volume messaging using Kafka
- Deep experience with relational and NoSQL databases in complex environments
- Experience designing and governing CI/CD pipelines at scale
- Strong experience implementing and defining observability standards for distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of application and infrastructure security practices
- Experience with Scala
- Experience mentoring teams and influencing technical decision-making across multiple squads
- Portuguese: Fluent (required for daily communication with public-sector stakeholders)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer, Travel Integrations & Distribution to help build the supplier connectivity, partner APIs, PMS/extranet backend capabilities, and distribution services that power KabuK Exchange. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys complex partner integrations, API normalization, booking flows, reliability, and solving messy real-world travel technology problems. You will play a key role in connecting KabuK Exchange with hotel suppliers, channel managers, wholesalers, B2C products, and B2B distribution partners. Team This role will likely sit within the Supply & Distribution Platform team.
