Role Description Senior Software Developer Location: UK flexible - office space available in major UK cities, but remote-ok. Occasional (~once per quarter) national travel to Leeds office for hackathons, team events etc. Hours: Full time, 37.5h/week Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain complex web applications for recording, monitoring, and reviewing client information. - Utilize in-house web application that acts as an electronic patient record, case management system, and quality management system. - Work with technologies including Docker containers, ECS, Terraform, and Pulumi. - Store data in a serverless/autoscaling MySQL database. - Write newer applications in TypeScript, using NestJS and SvelteKit. - Implement various testing tools for end-to-end, integration, and unit testing. - Contribute to a blame-free culture focused on improving processes. Qualifications - Familiarity with SQL. - Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS beyond the basics. - Experience building applications using JavaScript in the browser. - Debugging and testing experience in any language. - Interest in security and discussing safe software practices. - Ability to dive into legacy code and document, improve, and test it. - Curiosity and willingness to learn across various specialties. Requirements - Compassionate, bold, and open-minded attitude. - Experience with Perl is not a strict requirement. - Enjoyment of challenges related to legacy code.
