Role Description The Director of Supply Chain and Sourcing will lead MultiTech’s global sourcing strategy, overseeing the architecture of a global supply chain while optimizing customer experience through landed cost, lead-time and tariff mitigation strategies. This role oversees supplier selection, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic partnerships to ensure a high-performing supply base. - Evaluate the existing global supply chain to benchmark cost, lead-time and quality - Architect the supply chain to execute improvement opportunities and risk mitigation - Transform the supply chain through the leadership of cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality and manufacturing - Drive excellence through the leadership of sourcing and purchasing team members - Build and manage a high-performing global supplier base for electronics components - Collaborate with the quality function to ensure suppliers meet regulatory, compliance, and quality standards - Ensure the development and maintenance of continuity plans for critical components and materials - Lead and/or oversee supplier audits, business reviews, and corrective action initiatives - Monitor market trends, capacity constraints, and technology shifts that impact supply availability. Define and drive appropriate mitigation initiatives and lead allocation strategies during shortages or disruptions. - Deliver measurable cost savings without compromising on quality for our customers Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field required; MS/MBA preferred - 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing environments with 10+ years of supply chain, sourcing and/or purchasing experience - 5+ years’ experience with indirect purchasing, service and licensing agreements - Experience leading, architecting and transforming global supply chains - Expert business acumen in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory management, and financial reporting - Strong background in direct material purchasing - Exceptional negotiation skills; creates win-win outcomes - Experience sourcing and managing contract manufacturing partners to achieve target KPIs - Extensive background in sourcing, supplier development, global manufacturing, and tariff mitigation strategies - Experience in PCBA, electro-mechanical assemblies, requirements and manufacturing methods strongly preferred - Collaborate with product development leadership to identify and develop new supply chain partners to accelerate product availability Requirements - Lifting requirements up to 25 pounds - Requires sitting for periods of time - Requires travel using all modes of transportation - Requires a valid passport Work Environment - Remote position - Our Minnesota facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. - Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. - Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. - No food is allowed in the manufacturing area. - No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.
