Mobile HVAC Technician

• Operates and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure building comfort and energy efficiency • Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, and motors according to established schedules • Regular monitoring of building automation systems and energy management systems to identify and resolve operational issues • Diagnoses problems and performs repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems • Responds to emergency calls and service requests from multiple locations, coordinating with property management teams and tenants • Ensures all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations including building codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements • Travels between assigned properties, prioritizes work orders, and communicates status updates to facility managers and clients
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Technical training in building systems, HVAC, or related fields strongly preferred
- Valid stationary or universal engineer's license appropriate to the jurisdiction is typically required
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related technical field
- Experience with commercial building systems, building automation systems, and computerized maintenance management software is valuable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary for travel between properties

• Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on complex customer's biomedical equipment • Drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence • Evaluate complex customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, perform PM and safety/environmental inspections, and maintain effective customer relations • Lead others as needed regarding appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete necessary documentation • Establish and engage in proactive daily communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and customer satisfaction • Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues • Implement GE/customer facility contract and support customer and business goals/objectives • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs/resolution • Share on-call responsibility • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration • Maintain approved parts inventory
