• Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment • Drives customer satisfaction through service excellence • Under supervision, evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and as assigned, perform PM and safety/environmental inspections • Serve as a primary field service technician for IV infusion pumps, focusing on repair, and preventive maintenance • Provide on-site service at healthcare facilities throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, requiring regular local travel • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program
- High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner
- Must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test
- Willingness to be available 'after hours', or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary
- Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time

• Join Indepth Hygiene as a Grease Extraction Technician • Support grease extraction and fire damper testing in a two-person team • Assist with the Team Leader in carrying out fire damper inspections and drop testing • Clean commercial kitchen extract systems in accordance with TR19 Grease standards • Identify and report defects • Ensure all works are completed safely and to a high professional standard • Assist with site set-up, safe system of work implementation, access equipment use • Complete accurate reports with photographic evidence
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of coldroom refrigeration systems. • Ensure proper refrigerant levels, clean coils, and lubricate moving parts as necessary. • Diagnose and troubleshoot coldroom system malfunctions, identifying causes of issues. • Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, fans, motors, and sensors. • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for coldroom systems to prevent breakdowns. • Conduct regular servicing, filter replacements, and part inspections. • Monitor energy consumption patterns of coldroom systems and identify opportunities for optimization. • Implement energy-efficient practices to reduce operational costs. • Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive tasks.
