Financial Controller – Contract

• Take full ownership of the General Ledger (GL), ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and compliance • Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts • Lead the transition from outsourced accounting to an internal accounting function • Manage monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial accuracy • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports • Review Profit & Loss statements and financial performance across business units • Ensure accurate and timely reporting for executive leadership • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations • Review invoices, payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments • Provide guidance and oversight to the bookkeeping team • Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations • Coordinate payroll tax, sales tax, and year-end tax reporting activities • Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and financial controls • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling financial records and sensitive company information
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant with full ownership of the General Ledger (GL)
- Strong experience managing month-end close and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Experience supervising accounting or bookkeeping teams
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- High level of integrity with the ability to manage highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) with excellent written and verbal communication skills
