Senior Backend Developer – Go, Python
Devsu
• Develop, optimise, and maintain backend services using Python and Golang. • Implement serverless solutions that ensure scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency. • Design and integrate AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS (PostgreSQL), Step Functions, API Gateway, and other serverless ecosystem components. • Implement authentication/authorisation mechanisms and follow API security best practices. • Actively participate in the technical definition, design, and implementation of new features and platform enhancements. • Collaborate with the development team to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and architectural guidelines. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to performance, security, reliability, and scalability. • Contribute to CI/CD processes and ensure efficient, reliable, and automated deployments. • Support the continuous improvement of backend architecture and cloud-native solutions. • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure maintainable and high-quality software delivery.
Job Requirements
- Backend Development (Python & GoLang)
- 2–3 years of proven experience in software development.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining backend applications using Python and Golang in production environments.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed backend services.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, service-orientated architecture, and scalable system design.
- Experience developing and maintaining serverless applications.
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and event-driven architectures.
- AWS & Cloud Technologies
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly:
- AWS Lambda
- DynamoDB
- RDS (PostgreSQL)
- Step Functions
- API Gateway
- Serverless Architectures
- Experience designing cloud-native solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- General Knowledge
- Experience troubleshooting performance, scalability, and security issues.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience working collaboratively within agile development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payment platforms, or financial services environments.
