Job Description
Sales Representative
Merlin
• Lead generation & prospecting: You research potential customers in the public sector, build a consistent outbound pipeline, and leverage industry events, trade shows, and your network to open new contacts. • Outreach & engagement: You reach out to leads via email, phone, on-site visits and events. At the same time, you manage inbound leads and referrals from partners. • Qualification & closing: You conduct discovery calls and demos, create persuasive proposals, and negotiate through to closing. • Process optimization: You continuously improve our sales processes — pitch decks, call scripts, CRM workflows, dashboards and KPIs. • Cross-functional collaboration: You work closely with Customer Success, Product and the founding team to delight customers long-term and feed market insights directly into product development.
Job Requirements
- Relevant sales experience: 1+ years of experience in Tech Sales. You know what it takes to close deals.
- Results-oriented: You consistently deliver, step in where needed and aren’t discouraged by setbacks. Every no brings you closer to the next yes.
- Owner mindset: You work independently, make decisions and don’t wait for instructions. You see challenges as opportunities and drive initiatives proactively.
- Strong interpersonal skills: You can listen, read situations and always find the right tone — whether in sales conversations or spontaneous interactions. C2-level German proficiency is essential.
- Customer-first: You understand that our customers always come first. Only when our customers succeed do we succeed. You don’t sell at any cost, but build sustainable relationships that create real value.
Benefits
- Performance is generously rewarded: Nothing makes our founding team happier than writing big commission checks for won customers. Every deal is celebrated.
- Strong growth & momentum: We have a rapidly growing customer base, enormous market demand and strong investors behind us — including former federal ministers and top-tier business angels.
- A+ team & office vibe: Work with an ambitious, energetic team at our office in WERK1 — one of Munich’s most exciting tech hubs with a true startup atmosphere.
- Attractive perks: Wellpass and workcations in the sun contribute to your wellbeing and productivity.
- Remote possible: Our team works on-site in Munich and we prefer candidates based locally — but we are open to strong candidates who want to work remotely from within Germany.
