Job Description
QA Automation Engineer
Monument
• Embed within a product development team as its quality partner, engaged from feature kickoff through release rather than as a downstream gate. • Shift left: collaborate with engineers and PMs during requirements and design to define test cases, test plans, and acceptance criteria before implementation begins. • Own automated coverage as part of the Definition of Done, so every new feature ships with automation tests needed to protect it. • Leverage AI across the testing lifecycle: generating and maintaining Playwright/TypeScript scripts, drafting test cases from requirements, triaging failures, and closing coverage gaps. • Build and maintain robust end-to-end automated tests using Playwright w/ Typescript. • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the team's AI skills, tools, and frameworks to make automation more effective and reliable. • Champion a quality-first mindset and help evolve testing standards across the product organization.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Test Automation Engineer.
- Technically strong. You write clean, maintainable code, understand the systems you're testing, and can hold your own in engineering discussions.
- A critical thinker. You probe edge cases, question assumptions, and don't take a passing test suite (or an AI-generated one) at face value.
- Comfortable working embedded in a product team and collaborating closely with engineers. You see quality as a shared responsibility, not a handoff.
- An AI enthusiast who pushes the boundaries of what can be accomplished and brings the team along.
- Experienced with Playwright, TypeScript for building robust automated test suites.
- Comfortable with writing SQL queries.
- You set yourself apart with high standards and attention to detail.
- Strong English speaking and writing skills.
- Experienced with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust is a plus.
- Experience with billing systems/software is a plus.

Role Description 11:11 is hiring a Software Engineer to join the developers on our Cloud Development & Engineering (CDE) team, with a focus on automation. You'll split your time between two complementary areas: - Contributing to our in-house distributed workflow automation platform. - Building automation on top of it to support our infrastructure and service delivery teams. On the platform side you'll write Rust and extend the engine, runners, and language bindings. On the delivery side you'll author automation — primarily in Ansible and Python — that handles a wide range of operational work, from infrastructure configuration to provisioning and integrations across internal and third-party systems. The specific automation is driven by what our partner teams need, so the work stays varied and you'll regularly collaborate across the organization. This is a full-time remote role, based in North America, reporting to the VP of Cloud Development & Engineering. Responsibilities - Contribute features, bug fixes, and improvements to our workflow automation platform (a Rust-based workflow engine with distributed runners, REST/gRPC APIs, and Ansible/Python/container runtimes). - Author automation — workflows and tasks written largely in Ansible and Python — in support of infrastructure and service delivery teams. - Partner with stakeholder teams to understand their needs and turn manual or ad-hoc processes into reliable, repeatable automation. - Build and integrate with custom APIs and external systems to connect automation across the infrastructure and service delivery stack. - Help improve the tooling, runtimes, and developer experience that other teams use to author their own automation. - Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11's Code of Business Ethics and Company Values. - Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies. - Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements. - Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor's or University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience required. - 2+ years of software development experience, including Python. - Experience with a common automation or configuration management platform (such as Ansible, Salt, Terraform, or similar). - Experience designing or consuming RESTful and/or gRPC APIs. - Comfort with data interchange formats such as JSON and YAML. - Experience using Git in a distributed, multi-developer environment. - Familiarity with containerized applications. - Working knowledge of Linux. - Relevant technical certifications (e.g., cloud, Kubernetes, automation) preferred. - Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams and manage multiple priorities. - Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies and to work proactively in a fast-paced environment. - Must be legally eligible to work in North America without visa sponsorship. Technical Skills Preferred - Experience with a systems language such as Rust, Go, or C/C++. - Experience writing automation with Ansible (playbooks and/or modules). - Familiarity with workflow/orchestration platforms and the workflow/task authoring model. - VMware/vSphere automation experience. - Infrastructure-as-code experience. - Kubernetes experience. - PostgreSQL or other relational databases. - Experience using AI/LLMs to assist with software development. - Experience contributing to open-source projects and communities. Benefits - The base salary for this role ranges from $125,000 to $150,000. - These ranges are informed by market data, internal equity, and qualifications required by job level. Actual pay is based on multiple factors, including skills, experience, certifications, and location. - Individuals may also be eligible for variable incentives such as bonuses or sales commissions, which are also based on level and position within the organization. - Additional company-sponsored benefits include, but are not limited to: - Comprehensive healthcare plan options - Retirement plan with company match - Life, other supplemental insurances - Paid time off and company holidays - New Parent Leave - Wellness programs
