Senior Rust Developer

Fusion Consulting

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend services in Rust. • Building reliable REST APIs and asynchronous application components. • Creating and maintaining data models and integrations with relational data stores. • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested production code. • Taking ownership of backend features from design through delivery and support. • Contributing to frontend applications developed with Vue.js and Angular. • Supporting AWS Glue pipelines and related ETL or data-processing activities where needed. • Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions. • Working effectively within a polyglot codebase and learning adjacent technologies. • Collaborating with team members and communicating technical progress, risks, and decisions clearly.

Job Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Solid production experience developing applications or services in Rust.
  • Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including API design, asynchronous programming, data modeling, and automated testing.
  • Experience building maintainable and reliable production systems.
  • Willingness to contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, technologies, and codebases quickly.
  • Comfortable working across backend, frontend, and data pipeline components over time.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical deliverables.
