Role Description We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated contractor to repair heavy-duty canvas tarps used in the transportation and retail delivery of beverages. Working remotely on a self-paced schedule, you will operate your own industrial-grade equipment to complete repairs and collaborate with LDF Sales & Distributing on a bi-weekly basis. Responsibilities & Duties - Tarp Repair & Fabrication: Operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines to sew, patch, hem, and repair tarps to exact specifications. - Hardware Installation: Measure, cut, and install grommets, D-rings, webbing, and reinforcement patches. - Quality Control: Perform thorough inspections on finished products to ensure durability and design accuracy. - Material Sourcing: Supply necessary hardware and materials (e.g., thread, D-rings, ribbon, straps, Velcro) available in the marketplace. Qualifications - Equipment: Must own a heavy-duty industrial sewing machine capable of stitching heavy materials, canvas, and nylon. - Experience: Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines; fabricator or similar sewing experience preferred. - Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to accurately read measurements and use hand tools. Requirements - Tarps completed within a bi-weekly timeframe. (Note: Work volume may fluctuate due to seasonal demand).
