Tech Lead – Solution Architect, .NET, Azure
Exavalu
• lead the modernization of a legacy Workers’ Compensation policy administration platform • own solution direction, architecture decisions, and technical accountability while guiding a small onshore/offshore team through a cloud-native rewrite on Microsoft Azure • bring deep expertise in .NET Core 8, C#, Azure, and microservices • reverse engineer and modernize complex insurance rating logic from legacy systems into scalable, maintainable cloud services • Strong insurance domain knowledge—especially policy administration concepts —is required
Job Requirements
- 8–12+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated tech lead or architect responsibilities
- Strong, hands-on expertise in: C# / .NET Core (client stack: .NET Core 8)
- Microsoft Azure (cloud services, deployment patterns, DevOps-friendly design)
- Microservices architecture and backend/API development
- SQL and data access patterns
- Proven experience with legacy code refactoring and modernization
- Familiarity with service mesh concepts in microservices architectures
- Insurance domain knowledge with understanding of policy administration concepts and terminology
- Strong communication skills and experience leading distributed onshore/offshore teams
