Data Integration Specialist

Riverside Insights

As a Data Integration Specialist you will deliver secure, accurate, and efficient data connections that help educators discover each learner’s unique strengths and challenges. You will ensure seamless, high-quality integrations across Riverside’s assessment and data platforms, enabling schools and districts to grow the potential in every student through reliable and actionable information. In this role you will partner with internal teams and external customers to execute integrations, resolve issues, and enhance data workflows across systems including DESSA, Data Manager, ESGI, and easyCBM. Responsibilities - Establish and execute diverse data integrations with speed, precision, and strong customer focus. - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve integration issues with minimal supervision. - Manage and transform large datasets using Excel; apply SQL or BigQuery skills where applicable. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and deliver exceptional customer support. - Ensure accurate data mapping, transformation, documentation, and quality validation. - Prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share knowledge to improve data processes. - Identify and implement process improvements that enhance integration workflows and documentation. - Provide training and support to internal and external partners to increase data literacy.

Job Requirements

  • Must-Have Qualifications
  • Experience performing data integrations or similar data-focused technical work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning).
  • Ability to manage and interpret large datasets accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail in data mapping, transformation, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL or Google BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (PowerSchool, Skyward, Infinite Campus).
  • Experience with integration platforms such as Clever or ClassLink.
  • Knowledge of APIs, SFTP, automation, or scripting for integrations.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Remote
  • Travel 1–2 times a year for off-site team meetings or conferences
  • May require stationary positions (sitting or standing) for extended periods

  • A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 USD. This role is an hourly position. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters
