Podcast Content and Video Editor

• Own the end-to-end production of the client's podcast, from raw recordings through to publishing. • Review podcast recordings and transcripts to identify unnecessary content, improve storytelling and enhance the overall listener experience. • Make independent editorial decisions to tighten pacing, improve narrative flow and elevate production quality. • Edit professional long-form podcast episodes for YouTube and audio platforms. • Produce engaging short-form videos from podcast episodes for LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. • Edit additional content including founder interviews, community event highlights, vox pops, employer branding videos and community reels. • Write engaging captions and assist with publishing content across social media platforms. • Maintain a consistent weekly publishing cadence. • Build, document and continuously improve podcast production workflows, templates and operating procedures. • Collaborate closely with the founder and stakeholders to refine production quality, creative direction and content strategy. • Take ownership of the overall production quality, visual identity and consistency across all content. • Develop content repurposing strategies to maximise the value of every podcast episode across multiple platforms. • Manage podcast assets, production files and documentation using Google Drive, Notion and collaborative tools. • Coordinate voice-over recordings and seamlessly integrate them into final podcast episodes. • Ensure podcast episodes progress efficiently from recording through to publishing with minimal supervision. • Utilise AI tools to improve editing efficiency, caption generation, workflow automation, transcription and content production. • Identify production bottlenecks and proactively implement better systems and workflows. • Continuously improve every piece of content, raising the production standard over time.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in editing and producing podcasts from recording through to final publication.
  • Strong understanding of podcast production workflows, publishing processes, and maintaining consistent brand identity.
  • Advanced video editing skills with experience in long-form and short-form content, including multi-camera editing, colour correction, transitions, captions, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong audio editing skills with excellent attention to sound quality, dialogue clarity, pacing, and overall production quality.
  • Strong storytelling ability with excellent judgement for narrative flow, audience engagement, and transcript-based editorial decisions.
  • Experience creating contents for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
  • Ability to independently manage projects end-to-end, from concept through final delivery, while managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience building production workflows, templates, SOPs, and scalable creative systems, with a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, with Adobe Audition (or equivalent) considered highly desirable.
  • Graphic design skills including podcast artwork, social media templates and YouTube thumbnails.
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Google Drive, Notion, and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to improve productivity and content workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to provide creative recommendations.
