Role Description Our client is currently seeking an experienced Power BI Developer Consultant to join the BPM team. The individual selected will be crucial in converting data into valuable insights for our long-standing clients in the banking and financial sectors. - Engaging with clients to understand business requirements; - Documenting business requirements and translating these into functional and technical specifications; - Development of MS SQL and Power BI data models with required interfaces and ETL; - Development of Power BI reports, dashboards, KPI scorecards and interactive content; - Optimization of MS SQL queries/views; - Experience with Power BI Premium features; - Expertise in creating Paginated Reports for report bursting; - Experience in Dataflows for enhanced data preparation and transformation capabilities; - Administration and optimisation of Power BI solutions, including experience in administering Gateways for data refreshes; - Good, demonstrable general computing knowledge, including basic troubleshooting capability on the Microsoft Windows platform, an understanding of networking fundamentals, and familiarity with application installation and support; - Good understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation; - Excellent analytical ability to turn large amounts of raw data into insightful and actionable visual information; - Experience dealing with client requirements, requests and feedback; - Excellent communication skills to interact with clients at all levels of the organization. Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or related field; - Microsoft Certifications; - Good understanding of accounting principles will be beneficial; - 3+ years’ experience developing and deploying Power BI solutions; - Excellent technical skills; - Excellent problem-solving abilities; - Excellent communication skills. • Design, develop, and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources. • Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Alteryx. • Create and maintain Python scripts to automate data processing and pipeline tasks. • Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and well documented. • Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks. • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring production issues. • Maintain operational documentation and runbooks. • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy. • Translate business requirements into intuitive and effective reporting solutions. • Optimize dashboards for usability and performance. • Support existing reports by resolving issues, improving functionality, and ensuring successful data refreshes.

• Reporting to the Director, BI and Data Operations, the Business Intelligence Analyst will contribute to data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that support organizational priorities • Work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to understand the challenges each team faces and determine how data and process improvements can best address them • Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards based on business requirements and user needs, gathered directly from stakeholders across the organization • Leverage AI tools such as Claude to create reports, analyses, data visualizations, and tools that extend beyond traditional Salesforce capabilities • Identify and resolve data quality issues as they arise, utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Claude, Excel, and Tableau • Collaborate with our Data Operations team as needed to investigate and address root causes • Evaluate business processes, gather and document requirements, and work with peers within the Data and Technology team to implement solutions that drive efficiency • Lead ongoing reviews and improvements of priority business processes across departments, partnering closely with department leads to understand needs and drive alignment • Serve as both project lead and project team member depending on the initiative, managing projects independently from planning through completion, including regular communication of project status with relevant stakeholders • Manage competing priorities and resources while monitoring deliverables to ensure timely completion • Conduct user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback to validate that solutions meet business needs before deployment • Translate data findings and process knowledge to support the Technology Enablement team in producing formal documentation • Conduct meetings and presentations to share findings and next steps, and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership • Coach and guide end users on Salesforce reporting and interpreting data outputs to build data literacy across the organization.
