Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role combined with at least 10 years of experience in software development.
- Experience leading teams of 10 engineers or more.
- Demonstrated time management, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders, including non-technical members of the organization.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative work style with the ability to effectively collaborate and work with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
- Passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
- A drive for finding simple solutions to complex problems.
- Experience with Kafka, distributed systems and real-time streaming processing.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- NICE TO HAVE: PHP, Next.js, Python, AWS/Lambda, Elixir, building GraphQL APIs (Absinthe), GraphQL schema stitching & subscriptions, GCP, Kubernetes, public speaking, contribution to open source software.

Role Description Shape the future of our AI Engineering and AI Platform capabilities within the Data Science and AI tribe. We are building a new team of AI Software Engineers and AI Platform Engineers to bring AI use cases into production at scale. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Engineering Manager to lead this newly formed team. As the EM, you will play a key role in turning AI concepts, data science ideas, and business opportunities into scalable backend systems, cloud-native architectures, agentic workflows, and internal AI platform services. We are not training models from scratch.
