Role Description Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished and dedicated per diem Physician for our Genesis department to join our team in Suffolk County and help expand access to care for those who need it most. The Per Diem Physician will provide remote clinical care and consultation services with a focus on HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), tuberculosis (TB), PrEP, and other infectious disease-related conditions. This role is fully remote and conducted through Sun River Health's telemedicine platform. - Provide comprehensive telemedicine evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with HIV, Hepatitis C, tuberculosis, PrEP needs, and other infectious disease-related conditions. - Utilize telehealth technology to conduct patient visits in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards. - Support Sun River Health's innovative HCV treatment initiatives through virtual patient care and consultation. - Collaborate with nurse practitioners, primary care providers, care managers, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care. - Review laboratory results, diagnostic testing, and specialty referrals and document findings in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate, complete, and timely electronic medical records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. - Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines, treatment protocols, and quality standards. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, telehealth regulations, and patient confidentiality requirements. - Respond to patient messages, clinical inquiries, and care coordination requests promptly. - Participate in virtual case reviews, interdisciplinary discussions, and provider consultations as needed. - Complete required organizational training, credentialing requirements, and licensure renewals. - Follow infection control, public health reporting, and regulatory requirements applicable to telemedicine practice. - Support initiatives aimed at improving patient engagement, retention in care, treatment adherence, and clinical outcomes.
