Role Description The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an RHEL and Ansible Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and enterprise infrastructure technologies. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical leader across both pre-sales and delivery, helping customers define and implement their infrastructure modernization journey. You will engage early in the sales cycle to understand customer needs, shape solutions, and support proposals. During delivery, you will lead the architecture and implementation of RHEL and Ansible-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies. By leveraging Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible Automation Platform, hybrid cloud, and automation practices, you will help customers standardize operations, improve security and compliance, optimize infrastructure management, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. What you will do: - Engage in pre-sales activities, including customer discovery sessions, workshops, and solution design - Partner with Sales and Account teams to shape opportunities, define scope, and build compelling technical proposals - Support RFP/RFI responses and present solutions to technical and executive stakeholders - Assess customer infrastructure environments and propose optimized architectures - Design and implement enterprise solutions based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible Automation Platform - Lead infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives across datacenter and hybrid cloud environments - Develop automation solutions for system administration, configuration management, patch management, compliance, and operational processes - Provide technical leadership during delivery, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices - Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners, helping define infrastructure and automation roadmaps - Collaborate with Product Engineering, Consulting, and Support teams to deliver high-quality solutions - Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern IT operations practices - Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, reusable assets, and best practices Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, consulting, systems engineering, or platform architecture roles - Proven experience in pre-sales or customer-facing roles, supporting complex solution sales cycles - Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and enterprise automation initiatives - Experience managing and designing large-scale Linux environments - Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, security, and virtualization technologies - Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, including Ansible and Terraform - Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure modernization programs - Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-level storytelling - Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and architectures - Fluent in English (written and verbal) - Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation are a plus Company Description Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
