Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. - Knowledge of curriculum needs for K-12 teachers and librarians. - Proven record of consistent sales and goal achievement performance. - Focused on diagnosing needs before pitching solutions. - Proposes personalized, relevant solutions based on district or classroom challenges. - Ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management. - Able to articulate how the solution complements core curriculum and improves outcomes. - Proactively builds targeted lead generation strategies. - Prioritizes territory activity to balance new business development with existing account growth. - Able to align product offerings with state or district learning objectives. - Comfortable discussing instructional strategies and educational trends with educators and administrators. - Maintain a home office and hours aligned with school schedules. Requirements - Proven track record selling into K–12 schools or districts. - Prior experience as an educator, librarian, instructional coach, or in curriculum development preferred. - Technology proficiency and the ability to converse with customers about online access and how technology can impact the classroom and support district initiatives. - Skilled in constructing a strong pipeline, involving finding opportunities, validating leads, and planning optimally. - Aptitude for operating in a changing environment that requires innovative ways and customized solutions to meet customer needs.
