Role Description The individual in this position will possess the ability to apply subject matter knowledge to solve complex business problems, while also frequently contributing to the development of new ideas and methods. - Solve and execute on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. - Provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives. - Function independently with significant individual judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. This is a fully remote position. Qualifications - Bachelor's of Science degree in IT, Computer Networks or Cybersecurity. - 5+ years of post-graduate related Network IT experience (senior or above). - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification (equivalent IT certifications) plus Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) (or equivalent). Requirements - Strong experience in planning, designing, installing, configuring & troubleshooting Routers/Switches and firewalls in the field. - Strong experience in Firewall configurations using Next Gen Firewalls, such as Palo Alto Networks. - Administration experience in Aruba Network is an added advantage. - Strong understanding of the OSPF and BGP routing protocols. - Strong understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 switching protocols. - Strong understanding of the following: HSRP, DSCP, NAT/SNAT, TCP/IP, Multicast, Ethernet. - Strong familiarity with the following WAN technologies: Carrier provided MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN. - Strong understanding of DHCP, DNS/domain services. - Strong experience in VPN, IPSec, GRE, SSL tunnels and F5 BigIP. - Strong experience in cloud based networking. Skills - Project management knowledge or experience with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including appropriate due diligence. - Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self-confidence. - Influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. - Demonstrated technical leadership skills. - Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions. - Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Wireless network. - Demonstrated experience as a network solution architect in a global infrastructure environment, including SDWAN. - Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot OS network issues in Windows and Linux.

Role Description Zayo is seeking a Network Engineer III - Optical who will be responsible for designing, link engineering and implementing capacity onto the existing DWDM network. The Network Engineer III - Optical is also responsible for effectively communicating with internal order management personnel and various internal teams on the progress of the capacity fulfillment as well as for meeting/exceeding daily and weekly performance targets. - Responsible for design planning, record creation and capacity fulfillment throughout the U.S and Canada. - Work with Project Managers and Design and Implementation Engineers when issues arise during capacity projects. - Design DWDM network per Network Architectures standards and future growth of our network and customer base. - Implement circuit designs for the core of the network as needed. - Provide direction in the circuit design function of the Engineering Department for orders with transport and facilities required to meet identified circuit requirements. - Review capacity request for correctness and clarify any design related items back to the responsible departments. - Maintain specific customer commitments and deadlines in the Zayo database. - Provide project status updates on the order when necessary for the project management groups. - Support field operations to resolve provisioning problems; review and verify technical data in an effort to project issues. - Exercise interpersonal skills in working with all internal customers. - Perform other related duties or projects as assigned by management. - May participate in the development and implementation of engineering standards and procedures. - Manage workload to identify critical issues and prioritize those items that must be completed daily. - Work around obstacles and roadblocks within the order flow to obtain the priority required by Zayo to meet required due dates. - Show initiative in getting work done. - Participate in operations-related projects, as needed. - Support manager during customer or network escalations as requested. - Perform other miscellaneous duties, including staying abreast of technology and network solutions and cross training when needed.
