Role Description We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Client's IT system house and European data center. Based in Düsseldorf, it supports the retail by providing IT services and developing IT solutions on an international level for the Client in Europe. Your goal in the project is to develop an integration layer that will be an interface between the source and target systems for product, location and supplier data, and the master data management tool Syndigo. - Take shared ownership in the development of the technical integration across Syndigo, legacy and downstream interfaces. - Ensure data quality and mapping consistency between inbound source files and outbound update messages. - Support production stability through monitoring, alerting, and dead-letter queue handling. - Build a maintainable and scalable solution that supports both initial load and ongoing update flows. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering. - AWS (DynamoDB, lambdas, SQS, EC, Fargate). - CI/CD (Bitbucket, Jenkins). - Python. - SQL. - Confluent Kafka. - Solid understanding of data flows, interfaces, mappings, and production support considerations. - Experience with data governance and master data management (Syndigo) is a strong advantage. - Clear communication. - Ownership. - Collaboration. - Problem-solving. - English C1.
