• Prepare highly detailed quantity takeoffs and accurate cost estimates specifically for commercial glass, glazing, and storefront systems. • Manage end-to-end bid documentation workflows, ensuring all bid preparation requirements and local guidelines are meticulously met. • Calculate accurate labor cost projections, project timelines, and logistical variables, including specialized assessments for high-rise work requiring swing stages and lifts. • Lead vendor outreach and request for quotes (RFQs), building and maintaining strong coordination with major U.S. suppliers like YKK, US Aluminum/CR Lawrence, and Old Castle Building Envelope. • Support pre-construction logistics, compile submittals, and manage RFIs to ensure a seamless handoff to operations teams. • Utilize Bloom & Beam OST software (or similar estimating platforms) to maintain organized, data-driven pipelines.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of dedicated glass and glazing estimating experience on U.S. construction projects, OR a strong background in Civil Engineering with transferable structural estimating skills.
- Hands-on experience with estimating software—Bloom & Beam OST is highly preferred, but equivalent takeoff platforms are accepted.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural plans, evaluate labor dynamics, and handle multi-million-dollar bids.
- Exceptional, fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) for accurate internal collaboration and vendor outreach.
- Full-time availability strictly matching U.S. Central Time (CT) operations.
- Prior experience with hurricane-resilient building systems or projects in the Gulf Coast, Caribbean, or Puerto Rico markets is a massive plus.
