Job Description

Technical Service Representative

Amcor

• Provide efficient and timely technical assistance to assigned customers in matters relating to their packaging equipment operations • Facilitate customer quality and packaging performance improvement • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities • Understand customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment • Service customer equipment, where applicable, to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials • Identify machinery and packaging film/shrink bag problems and ensure that they are properly communicated to the appropriate staff representatives • Maintain accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization • Perform and complete package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines • Participate in field trials of new packaging materials • Assist in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor • Provide input, as requested, into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or RE&D • Responsible for scheduling own time and travel and determining priority of customer calls • Conduct training for the customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and Amcor film • Assist on projects and may take the lead on smaller tasks within an overall project • Establish and maintain effective relations with customers, sales personnel and internal Amcor staff personnel • Complete KMS reporting within 5 days, complete expense reports within a month of business trip and turn in weekly schedules within designated time frame

Job Requirements

  • Technical Degree
  • 3-5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery)
  • Willing to travel 60% or more and holds a valid driver’s license
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
