Role Description RVO Health seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary medical weight loss team. As a provider, you will diagnose, treat, and manage obesity as a chronic disease and its related comorbidities. This whole-person, programmatic primary care model transforms virtual healthcare nationwide by supporting each patient with care navigators, case managers, dietitians, and medical providers. This fully remote, full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays. You will deliver virtual primary care focused on obesity management through synchronous (real-time) virtual telemedicine. All duties must comply with state and federal laws and adhere to evidence-based medical standards. This role offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. while tackling important healthcare challenges. Primary Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive virtual medical weight loss care including patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, chronic condition management, and follow-up care. - Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, dietitians, care navigators, engagement specialists, Registered Nurses. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe appropriate medications and evidence-based treatment regimens, and adjust care plans as clinically indicated. - Engage patients in shared decision-making, clearly explaining treatment options, risks, and benefits while promoting adherence to prescribed regimens and follow-up care. - Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered counseling that fosters sustainable lifestyle changes and ensures a safe, respectful space for patients to share challenges and successes. - Communicate effectively and compassionately via synchronous telemedicine visits and asynchronous messaging, addressing patient concerns promptly and thoroughly. - Participate in regular clinical team meetings and care conferences, contributing to case discussions, continuous learning, and practice involvement. - Coordinate care and exchange relevant patient information with local healthcare providers/organizations in compliance with HIPAA and state telehealth regulations. - Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the EHR, ensuring clear, compliant, and up-to-date patient records. - Support operational excellence by performing necessary administrative tasks and adhering to collaborative practice agreements and state-specific telehealth laws. Qualifications - Active, unencumbered NP, APRN license: must be in good standing and eligible to practice in designated states. - Board certification in Family or Adult by recognized certifying body (ANCC/AANP). - Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience with at least 1 year in obesity medicine and telemedicine each. - Multi-state licensure - actively holds 7+ state licenses without restrictions & with valid prescriptive authority. - Commitment to health equity and providing culturally relevant care. - Willingness to learn and practice the treatment of medical weight loss. - Comfortable navigating modern telemedicine platforms, digital health tools, and adapting evolving protocols. - Strong clinical judgment and autonomy. - Excellent communication skills. - Licensure flexibility - must be able to qualify for and obtain unrestricted licensure in additional states as required by clinical platform. - Valid prescriptive authority (per State practice requirements). - Reliable internet connectivity: Access to high-speed home internet that meets the platform’s minimum technical standards. Role Description As a Physician at Recover Medical Group, you will treat patients struggling with substance use. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients at all stages of their recovery journey. You will collaborate with leaders within the organization to maintain program quality, compliance with regulatory standards, and the well-being of both patients and staff.
