Role Description World Vision is seeking a Chief of Party who will be primarily responsible for leading the timely, effective, and accountable implementation of numerous projects in high-risk, complex contexts. The Chief of Party bears primary leadership responsibility for the successful implementation of multi-country, multi-partner grant-funded projects including managing spending, operations, and all other elements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large organizations, building capacity of smaller organizations, and in general being responsible for leading a complex consortium with a high-level of US government involvement and oversight. - Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. - Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization. - Incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within the scope of role. Leadership, Vision, and Strategy - Effectively implement the project vision; guide project operations. - Represent the project at high-level meetings and other events. - Provide overall leadership and strategic direction of international and national organizations. - Management responsibility for consortium PMU staff and consortium member program staff. - Work closely with WVUS & WVI leadership, regional and national office technical staff. - Lead, plan, organize, and supervise consortium objectives, programs, and sub-grantees. - Ensure consortium governance, decisions, and actions remain in alignment with donor agreements. - Inspire a positive, collaborative organizational culture. - Ensure appropriate Consortium external representation. Consortium Management and Administration - Supervise and mentor a team of senior staff. - Manage grant/project budget within approved spending levels. - Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with all stakeholders. - Establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and internal and external communications. - Responsible for adherence to World Vision and donor requirements. - Work with project staff on the preparation and timely submission of reports. Technical Program Delivery and Quality - Monitor and communicate programming impact and manage risks. - Evaluate program effectiveness and determine corrective action needed. - Oversee M&E PMU staff on design of MEL systems. - Ensure program activities adopt best practices in participant accountability. - Approve Monitoring Evaluation and Learning plans and indicators. Representation - Lead and facilitate engagement with the donor. - Coordinate a diverse group of partners and external stakeholders. - Facilitate leadership and stakeholder engagement. - Acts as WV’s primary Consortium representative with internal stakeholders. - Oversee communication strategies for the program. - Strengthen linkages with existing partners and initiate new partnerships. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree Required. - A master’s degree in international development, business administration, non-profit management or related concentration preferred. - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in senior leadership roles for publicly funded large humanitarian programs. - Experience managing sub-grants and contracts under grants for complex projects. - Experience leading large and diverse teams. - Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and UN clusters. - Experience leading programs valued at more than USD $100 million. - Demonstrated experience in developing and managing alliances with the private sector and faith-based partners is highly desirable. - Familiarity with Sphere Standards, IPC analysis, food security assessments, and nutrition programming. - Strong writing and oral presentation skills. - Must be fluent in English. Requirements - Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer. - Domestic and international travel up to 20%. May require trips to hazardous locations. Benefits - Estimated hiring range: $123,700 - $184,360. - WVUS Pay Grade Level: 230. - The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines.
