Senior Automation QA (JS) Engineer

Role Description Ciklum is looking for a Senior Automation QA (JS) Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine. As a Senior Automation QA (JS) Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Responsibilities: - Automation of regression and other functional testing for UI/Backend - Maintaining automated testing frameworks - Integrating automated testing into CI processes - Test case adjustments for automated testing needs - Participation in manual testing activities (~30% of capacity) - Test data and test environment preparations - Making conclusions and reporting about stability of the product under test - Possibility to perform testing activities on several initiatives, communicate with all involved parties (developers, product manager, etc) - Mentoring colleagues in automation Qualifications - 3+ years of professional experience in QA Automation of Web products using Playwright/TS for UI and API - 1-2 years of API (with REST Assured or similar tool) and UI manual testing - Solid skills in JavaScript or Typescript - Experience with implementation of automated testing for project and system - Experience with continuous integration processes and tools - Experience of working with version control systems (Git, GitLab) - Knowledge of test automation approaches and procedures - Good knowledge of different testing methods, techniques and types - Understanding Agile/Scrum - Hands-on experience with AI. Role Description We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. In this role you will be a key contributor to engineering quality, partnering with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD pipelines, and accelerate confident software delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks with a clear understanding of testing strategy, including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing in Agile environments.
