External/SEC Reporting Focus - Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and related footnote disclosures. - Support drafting and review of 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other external reporting documents. - Perform tie-outs, data validation, and consistency checks between trial balances, consolidation systems, and final filings. - Support technical accounting research, memos, and implementation of new or complex standards. - Coordinate with external auditors on PBC requests and supporting documentation. General & Corporate Accounting Focus - Manage day-to-day accounting activities such as AP, AR, fixed assets, and payroll entries (depending on client). - Handle multiple entities, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency transactions where applicable. - Prepare internal management reports and analysis to help leadership understand performance and trends. - Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including templates and actuals vs. plan analysis. Ideal Candidate Profile - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or similar credentials are a plus. - 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in revenue, JIB, external/SEC reporting, or corporate/GL roles. - Experience in energy/oil & gas or other complex, asset-intensive industries is highly valued. - Proficiency with common accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel skills. - Ability to ramp up quickly, work independently, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. - Interest in contract work, with comfort navigating changing environments and priorities.
