Senior Consultant - Technical Analyst

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver high-impact consulting services for state government clients, focusing on IT systems, financial management, and operational improvements. The Senior Consultant will lead projects spanning risk assessments, Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), system implementation, and business process analysis. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will interact with executive leadership, manage multiple projects, and mentor team members. Lead and support projects for state government clients, providing services including IV&V, project risk assessments, IT systems planning and procurement, business process improvement, independent testing, and quality assurance. Conduct fact-finding activities such as document reviews, interviews, surveys, and meeting observations to identify risks and issues in client projects. Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidence. Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to various audiences, including executive leadership. Mentor and develop staff, contributing to team culture, training, and professional development initiatives. Participate in marketing, proposal, and strategic planning activities to support business growth and team development. Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to deadlines, and client satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Proven expertise in IT system implementations, particularly for state government financial systems.
  • Deep understanding of technical domains including data migration, system integration/interfaces, cybersecurity, SDLC, requirements management, system testing, and operations.
  • Experience in IV&V, project management, risk assessment, business process improvement, independent testing, and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and documents; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of state government systems such as tax revenue, accounting/finance, HR/payroll, grants management, unemployment insurance, pensions, transportation, or licensing.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively, work independently and collaboratively, and maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines.
