This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their project and client management skills while providing and making a direct impact on an already established, growing organization! Posting Location: Nashville, TN What You’ll Do: - Serves as project manager and/or project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects, depending on assignment. - Responsible for project schedules and the timely completion of projects. - Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects. - Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects. - Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be the Engineer of Record on some projects. - Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects. - May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineers’ activities. - Actively participates in supporting business development efforts, attends client and organizational meetings, and makes presentations in support of the client and projects. - Visits construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per contract documents What You’ll Need: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program - 8-20 years of transportation or traffic engineering experience - Experience working on and with TDOT, county, and/or local agency projects/clients is preferred - Licensed Professional Engineer, PE - Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators - Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously - Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD preferred Who We Are Join Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural, engineering, and surveying firm, where your career can thrive! Role Description We are seeking an experienced Embedded Semiconductor Engineer to design and build software tooling, firmware, and infrastructure that support semiconductor design, verification, manufacturing, and post-silicon validation. In this role you will partner with hardware engineers and EDA teams to build software that accelerates silicon development cycles and improves yield, performance, and quality. The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience working alongside hardware teams in EDA, verification, or post-silicon environments. - Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. - Raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. - Bring strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Six or more years of software engineering experience, with significant time in semiconductor environments. - Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python. - Hands-on experience with EDA, verification, or post-silicon validation workflows. - Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction at a low level. - Experience building large-scale compute infrastructure (grid, cloud, HPC). - Strong scripting and automation skills. - Experience with data pipelines for design or characterization data. - Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and documentation skills.
