We are building a talented pool of part-time instructors ready to teach FYE (First Year Experience) courses for the Prison Education Program. This online position offers the perfect blend of professional fulfillment and work-life balance. Job Duties: - Carry out instruction, instructional activities, and learning materials in the Lantern LMS (learning management system). - Provide regular motivation and timely feedback for students. - Maintain records and reports on student attainment and monitor student progress. - Utilize approved online course template, syllabus format, complete program assessment, and other related activities or reporting. - Complete required college training including annual mandatory training related to college policies, online learning training, quality assurance training, LMS training, and other related training. - Submit background checks and the required Department of Corrections (DOC) training (and adheres to regulations and guidelines). Minimum Qualifications: - A Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline is the preferred credential for teaching FYE. A Bachelor’s Degree in any area may be considered if accompanied by experience with college student success or student services processes – i.e. advising. - Total compensation is calculated on a per-course basis according to the WKCTC part time faculty salary schedule.

Tutors support students in mastering course content through various formats, including homework assistance, test preparation, and skill-building. The goal is to help students develop effective learning strategies and academic confidence. We're currently seeking in-person tutoring support in the following subject areas: - Accounting/Business - English Language Learners (ELL) - Higher level mathatics college algebra, and higher - Chemistry and higher-level sciences Tutoring may occur in embedded class settings, walk-in sessions, or online formats. Tutors will work individually or in small groups and are expected to document their sessions. Additionally, tutors may be asked to design and lead success workshops related to their subject area.
