Chameleon Integrated Services
• Must be a field-capable network specialist who can perform daily sustainment, troubleshooting, hardware/software upgrade support, approved network changes, onsite/touch labor, and ticket discipline • The Network Specialist provides troubleshooting and problem resolution in a production environment • Daily sustainment support for DHA LAN/WLAN/WAN networks • Hardware/software upgrade coordination • Approved network change implementation • SolarWinds/ARMIS/Ansible-supported diagnostics • LAN/WAN security barrier support • Bottleneck and latency analysis • Device reconfiguration or replacement
Job Requirements
- DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level II or equivalent
- Security+ and CCNA or equivalent network architecture certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science plus at least two years of related experience; or certified technical/vocational school plus at least three years of related experience
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, RSTP, VRRP, BIND, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.1d, 802.1q, 802.1w, 802.3, 802.11, 802.3u, 802.3z, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and DoD/DHA communications media
- Experience with OTDR, cable testers, network sniffers, and EIA/TIA cable standards
- Experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments using Microsoft OS, Windows Active Directory, UNIX, OpenVMS, routers, switches, terminal servers, local WAN, and long-haul WAN connectivity
- Proficiency in Windows networks, Cisco Systems, and Orion SolarWinds
- Ability to take direction from Referral Network Engineers and Network Engineer Associates on firewall, VPN, and IDS configuration
- ADP sensitivity determination required
