Role Description For our client, a leading global provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions, we are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics Developer / Senior Data Modeler with a strong background in dimensional data modeling and analytics solution design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing scalable analytical models and delivering business-ready reporting solutions. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on data modeling, semantic modeling, and analytics development. It is not a data engineering, pipeline development, team leadership, or advisory position. This is a full-time remote contract role. We preferably seek candidates based in Serbia or Poland, while also considering candidates across the EMEA region. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain dimensional data models, semantic models, and analytical datasets (facts and dimensions) - Translate business requirements into scalable and high-performing analytical data models - Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, Apps, KPIs, and complex DAX calculations - Design robust semantic models that enable self-service analytics and trusted reporting - Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to ensure data models are built on reliable and efficient data pipelines - Monitor and continuously improve data quality, model performance, and reporting reliability - Implement and maintain data governance, security concepts, and Row-Level Security (RLS) - Create and maintain technical documentation, modeling standards, and best practices - Act as the technical point of contact for data modeling, semantic layer design, and visualization implementation - Share knowledge and collaborate with global Data & Analytics teams and cross-functional stakeholders - Work effectively in an international environment, appreciating cultural diversity and global collaboration Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field - Several years of experience as a Senior Analytics Developer or Senior Data Modeler - Proven expertise in dimensional data modeling (Kimball methodology, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) - Proven track record building complex, enterprise-grade dimensional/multidimensional models (not just report-level data models) - Strong hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale semantic models and analytical datasets - Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including semantic models, DAX, paginated reports, dashboards, and Apps - Excellent SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data warehouses - Solid understanding of analytics architecture, data governance, and data quality principles - Experience working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions - Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Experience working in global, multicultural teams and able to drive and deliver work independently, with minimal guidance and supervision - Fluent English; German is an advantage What We're Looking For We are looking for a genuine hands-on Senior Analytics Developer who brings deep expertise in complex dimensional data modeling and semantic layer design.
