Family Therapist

The Emily Program

Under supervision, the Therapist provides individual, group, family and/or couples therapy and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment to the client and their family. Ensure the strictest adherence to professional boundaries with clients, consistently upholding ethical standards and creating a safe, respectful environment for all interactions. Co-Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients and their support networks, as assigned, to address specific therapeutic needs. Oversee a caseload of clients, ensuring comprehensive delivery of both individual and family therapy according to the assigned treatment plan. Create, implement, and continuously monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with the client's evolving therapeutic needs and goals. Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities in the treatment of clients, ensuring interventions are grounded in the latest research and best practices. Provide guidance and coaching during individual client and family meals when clinically indicated, promoting healthy eating behaviors, and addressing disordered eating patterns. Actively contribute to treatment team discussions by sharing client assessments, family dynamics, and responses to therapeutic interventions. Engage in multidisciplinary case conceptualization, contributing to the development of holistic and integrative treatment plans. Foster effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team to enhance client care and treatment outcomes. Perform comprehensive intake evaluations to assess new clients, gathering essential clinical information to inform treatment planning. Support the therapeutic environment by assisting with milieu management as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all clients. Communicate effectively with the Utilization Review team to provide necessary clinical data for insurance continued stay reviews and approvals. Generate detailed discharge plans, making informed recommendations for continued care and coordinating transitions to the next level of care services.

Job Requirements

  • Current Associate or Independent licensure required in Washington state required.
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral sciences field required.
  • Individual, family, or group psychotherapy experience required.
  • DBT, CBT, FBT experience preferred.
  • Eating Disorders treatment experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Compensation Range: $32.00 - $39.00/hour. Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.
  • Schedule - This is a Remote Position: Part-time position, 20 hours/week (.5 FTE). 20 hours spread across 2–4 days per week (to be determined). Tuesdays Required with availability between 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm PST. Fridays hours must be scheduled before 3:00 pm PST.
