Lead Estimator
PRAETORIAN POWER PROTECTION LLC
Role Description Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation for the mission critical industry, is searching for an Estimator to join our team. The primary focus of this role is evaluating complex electrical power system specifications to generate accurate NETA acceptance and maintenance testing proposals. Operating within Salesforce, you will leverage your deep understanding of NETA standards to build technical bids, qualify inbound service requests, and drive revenue through proactive inside sales follow-ups. Staff augmentation pricing for our data center clients will be a secondary, occasional responsibility. Core Responsibilities - Primary Focus: NETA Electrical Testing Estimating - Evaluate single-line diagrams, engineering specifications, and RFPs for industrial, commercial, and critical infrastructure projects. - Price precise scopes of work for NETA acceptance and maintenance testing across switchgear, transformers, relays, UPS systems, and circuit breakers. - Ensure all technical proposals accurately account for required test equipment, labor hours, and strict adherence to NETA safety and compliance standards. - Secondary Focus: Staff Augmentation Pricing - Review inbound personnel requests from data center clients. - Apply standardized financial models, billable rates, and labor multipliers to price technical personnel needs (no sourcing or recruiting required). - Salesforce & Inside Sales Management - Act as the technical point of contact for inbound testing inquiries from electrical contractors, facility managers, and data center operators. - Own and manage the complete bidding lifecycle within Salesforce CRM, maintaining precise deal staging and notes. - Execute disciplined outbound follow-ups on submitted testing proposals to navigate client approval cycles and close deals. - Technical Proposal Development - Author comprehensive, professional scope-of-work documents outlining execution strategies and commercial terms. - Present and explain technical pricing structures confidently to procurement teams and client engineers. Qualifications - Industry Experience - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating or inside sales, heavily focused on electrical testing or power systems. - Strong working knowledge of NETA standards, electrical acceptance testing protocols, and electrical topologies. - CRM & Software Proficiency - Direct experience using Salesforce to track opportunities, log tasks, and manage pipelines. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for executing multi-variable estimation spreadsheets and margin analysis. - Technical & Commercial Skills - Proven ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical prints, and technical specifications. - Strong commercial acumen with a track record of using inside sales tactics to increase bid-to-win ratios. - Work Environment - Proven capability to work effectively and autonomously in a 100% remote environment. - Strong time management and reliable, high-speed internet connectivity.
