• Du entwirfst, implementierst und skalierst verteilte Microservices - primär mit Node.js und NestJS. • Du baust performante APIs und entwickelst moderne Vue.js-Frontends vom Datenmodell bis zur UI. • Du bindest Vektorsuche und RAG-Workflows (Retrieval Augmented Generation) mit Weaviate ein und betreibst sie produktionsreif. • Du etablierst Clean Code, testgetriebene Entwicklung (TDD), Code-Reviews und automatisierte Tests. • Du modellierst PostgreSQL-Schemas, setzt Datenbank-Migrations um und tunst SQL-Abfragen. • Du implementierst Observability (Logging/Tracing), Resilience-Patterns und API-Versionierung im Rahmen von CI/CD-Pipelines. • Du stimmst dich eng mit Product Owner und UX ab, reviewst Pull-Requests und coachst Kolleg:innen fachlich.

• Maintain and augment the automation and services ultimately responsible for the operation of Planet’s satellites. This includes but is not limited to: • Specify and implement new HTTP APIs and help improve existing ones. • Evaluate and choose appropriate software technologies. • Design and deploy critical infrastructure. • Contribute with a team that values open and honest communication, collaboration, self-learning and initiative to solve problems big and small. • Work closely with various teams across Planet, ranging from Satellite and Ground Operations, to Pipeline and Product teams to ensure the satellite constellation meets all of the needs to achieve Planet’s missions.

• Develop and Maintain Software Applications: Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications using .NET framework, Python, cloud and related technologies. • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. • Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features. • Collaboration and Support: Work with project leaders, product owners, and developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems. • Offer support to end-users of the application, by troubleshooting and problem solving. • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and best practices in .NET framework and Python development. • Continuously improve the codebase, fix bugs, and optimize performance. • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge. • Testing and Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software solutions. • Develop and implement unit and functional tests to ensure code quality. • Assist in defining test scenarios and in testing the developed functionality.
