Role Description Serve as a trusted Business Partner to the Director of Academic Affairs. - Strengthen and manage relationships with Vituity Residency and Fellowship Programs in partnership with Medical Directors, Regional Directors, and Program Directors. - Develop and implement initiatives, processes, and policies to support operational effectiveness and continuous improvement within Academic Affairs. - Serve as the primary operational contact for residency and fellowship programs, providing consultation related to ACGME standards, compliance, financial processes, program operations, and culture-building. - Support Program Directors with operational needs, accreditation readiness, program visits, and Core Faculty development initiatives. - Lead initiatives for new academic programs, including onboarding program directors, creating system infrastructure, and serving as the primary point of contact for launch activities. - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate program setup, system integration, operational alignment, and ongoing maintenance of academic program information. - As the Academic Affairs function grows, this role may expand to include direct supervision of team members and day-to-day people management responsibilities. - Exercise independent judgment in resolving operational issues and recommending process improvements to support academic program effectiveness. - Track and report on academic program performance metrics, including resident and fellow satisfaction, program growth, accreditation status, and operational KPIs. - Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports to support leadership decision-making and identify opportunities for program improvement. - Analyze program data to inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and continuous quality improvement across academic partnerships. - Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Academic Affairs in business development discussions involving residency, fellowship, or other provider training programs. - Partner with clinical leaders to design, launch, and/or support GME-approved fellowships and training programs (e.g., ultrasound, simulation, EM practice, psychiatry). - Support organizational growth initiatives by aligning academic program operations with strategic business objectives. - Present to hospital leadership teams, C-suite executives, and GME committees to advocate for Vituity’s academic programs and demonstrate partnership value. - Evaluate partnership viability and provide strategic recommendations that directly influence contract renewals, expansions, and new program development. - Serve as the primary face of Academic Affairs in high-stakes conversations with hospital partners, ensuring Vituity’s academic value proposition is clearly articulated and positioned. - Partner with Marketing and operational leaders to support initiatives that promote Vituity’s academic programs and educational excellence. - Collaborate with Medical Recruiting, Talent Sourcing, Operations, and Academic Recruitment teams to support initiatives that strengthen physician pipeline development and academic recruitment efforts. - Performs related duties as required. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience working with physician residency programs and/or fellowship programs required. - Experience working in a hospital system with understanding of basic hospital operations required. - Experience in a client facing role required. - Experience working in higher education preferred. - Proficient with applicant tracking system, Salesforce, preferred. - Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Experience managing executive-level relationships with hospital leadership and C-suite stakeholders preferred. - Background in contract development, partnership management, or business development in a healthcare setting preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication for formal presentations. - Outstanding listening skills with an open mind, but a decisive intuition. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook). - Ability to establish close collaboration and cooperation with peers, direct manager, hiring managers, and senior leadership. - High energy personality, with a “can-do” spirit that is seen as approachable at all levels of the organization. - Result-oriented and self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to rolling up sleeves and getting the job done independently if required. - Solid presentation skills, able to leverage data to influence decision making. - Executive presence and the ability to represent the organization credibly with hospital C-suite and senior academic leaders. - Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate partnership opportunities and influence contract decisions. - Proven stakeholder management skills at the executive level across complex, multi-site healthcare environments.
