Lead WiFi Design Engineer

General Dynamics

• Design and develop wireless network architecture, including access points and controllers • Conduct site surveys to understand wireless coverage needs and plan network installations • Create heat maps and WiFi coverage models using design tools such as Ekahau • Collaborate with clients to understand their wireless connectivity requirements and objectives • Select and configure appropriate hardware and software components for wireless networks • Implement and optimize wireless solutions to ensure maximum performance and coverage • Conduct wireless signal tests and performance assessments to identify and resolve issues • Document network designs, configurations, and changes in detailed reports • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex network issues • Stay updated with the latest wireless technologies and industry trends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree AND 8+ years of directly related Ekahau experience OR minimum of 12 years of experience in WiFi design and deployment utilizing Ekahau
  • CWDP (Certified Wireless Design Professional) certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Experience with creating wireless designs in Ekahau design software
  • Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless communication
  • Experience with network security practices and wireless security protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Role Description Meade is seeking an accomplished Principal Mechanical Engineer to serve as a technical leader and Engineer of Record (EOR) for mechanical systems on complex data center projects. This individual will be responsible for leading design efforts, overseeing project delivery, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires deep technical knowledge of mission-critical HVAC, cooling, and mechanical infrastructure systems, as well as a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through design, coordination, and construction phases. Key Responsibilities - Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for mechanical design on data center projects. - Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, chilled water, and other mission-critical cooling systems. - Develop, review, and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals. - Coordinate with internal design teams and external stakeholders including clients, architects, and contractors. - Oversee mechanical design from concept through construction, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards. - Conduct system analyses, equipment selections, and energy efficiency evaluations. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. - Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes. - Review and seal design documents as required under state licensure. - Support business development efforts through proposal writing, client presentations, and technical input.
