Job Description

Forensic Mechanical Engineer

• Investigate and evaluate the root cause of failures and damage to HVAC and MEP systems • Assess building management systems, automation systems, fire protection, and fire alarm systems • Work independently and with a cross-functional team of experts

Job Requirements

  • Licensed P.E. in Florida or eligible by reciprocity
  • 5-10 years of experience designing/working with mechanical equipment and systems, including HVAC and MEP systems
  • At least 5 years of forensic engineering experience strongly preferred
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Effective communication skills in face-to-face interactions
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Technical proficiency with computers and industry-related software
  • Expert witness experience expected
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • CFI (IAAI) and/or CFEI (NAFI) certification(s) are preferred
