Forensic Mechanical Engineer
Salas O'Brien
• Investigate and evaluate the root cause of failures and damage to HVAC and MEP systems • Assess building management systems, automation systems, fire protection, and fire alarm systems • Work independently and with a cross-functional team of experts
Job Requirements
- Licensed P.E. in Florida or eligible by reciprocity
- 5-10 years of experience designing/working with mechanical equipment and systems, including HVAC and MEP systems
- At least 5 years of forensic engineering experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical writing skills
- Effective communication skills in face-to-face interactions
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Technical proficiency with computers and industry-related software
- Expert witness experience expected
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- CFI (IAAI) and/or CFEI (NAFI) certification(s) are preferred
