Product Manager

Merative

• Own engagement and retention metrics: Define, track, and drive improvements to key engagement indicators (DAU/MAU, session frequency, feature adoption) and retention metrics (D1/D7/D30 retention, churn reduction, reactivation rates). • Develop engagement strategy: Build the product vision and roadmap for experiences that deepen user engagement, including habit-forming loops, personalized journeys, and contextual nudges that guide users toward value. • Drive retention through product-led initiatives: Design and execute strategies to reduce churn, increase stickiness, and re-engage lapsed users through lifecycle marketing, personalization, and product interventions. • Leverage AI to accelerate product development: Use AI-powered tools for prototyping, data analysis, content generation, and experimentation. Apply AI to personalize user experiences and predict engagement patterns. • Lead experimentation and optimization: Design and run rigorous A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate rapidly. Build frameworks for segmentation, targeting, and journey optimization in partnership with data science. • Build engagement infrastructure: Lead the creation of foundational systems including contextual messaging, in-app marketing surfaces, and personalization frameworks that scale across the product. • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics to deliver cohesive experiences. Influence stakeholders across the organization to align on engagement priorities. • Translate insights into action: Use quantitative data to identify opportunities and qualitative research to understand user motivations. Turn insights into clear product requirements and user stories.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience with a focus on engagement, retention, growth, or lifecycle product development.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements to engagement and retention metrics through experimentation and product iteration.
  • Proficiency with AI tools: Demonstrated experience using AI for product development, including prototyping (Claude, Lovable, Cursor, Figma Make), data analysis, or building AI-powered features.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to write SQL queries, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks, funnel optimization, and cohort analysis.
  • Understanding of behavioral psychology, habit formation, and user motivation frameworks.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to influence and align stakeholders across technical and business teams.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is biased toward action and outcomes.
  • Bonus Qualifications: Experience building personalization frameworks, recommendation systems, or messaging infrastructure.
  • Background in consumer products, SaaS, fintech, or healthcare technology.
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing tools (Braze, Iterable, Customer.io) or product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel).
  • Track record of mentoring junior PMs or leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience applying machine learning or predictive analytics to engagement or retention challenges.
