Associate Underwriter
Trean Insurance Group
• Enters new applications and completes underwriting analysis. • Quotes and binds accounts in accordance with their Letter of authority. • Enters Monthly self-audit reports. • Handles cancellations & reinstatements. • Handles inquiries and requests from both agents and policyholders. • Issues policy endorsements as needed. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- College degree in related field or 3-5 years insurance experience
- Underwriting experience desired
- Microsoft applications
- Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing a high level of customer service.
- Consistently at work and on time.
- Follows instructions and responds to management direction.
- Ability to meet designated deadlines and commit long hours of work when necessary to reach goals or meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.

• Interpret body CT, general and specialized body MRI, CTA, and MRA studies • Utilize distributed radiology system (Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360) • Flex shifts can be worked in one or two hour increments • Participate in section, committee and board meetings if desired
• Provides drug information to other health care professionals. • Ensures proper documentation and record-keeping for all interactions. • Supports and manages a defined list of patients who require assessment and education about their disease therapy/treatment. • Carries out interventions when appropriate. • Administers programs that enable patients to overcome adherence barriers to medication.
