Managing Director, AI & Data Platforms

• Define and execute a multi-year AI & Data platforms strategy and roadmap aligned with EP’s business priorities, operating model, and regulatory obligations. • Establish and run adaptable, effective AI and data governance: standards, patterns, intake/prioritization, exception management, and measurable value tracking. • Partner with Product and Business to translate platform investments into business outcomes. • Own the enterprise data platform operating model: architecture, engineering standards, scalability, reliability, and cost management. • Lead the evolution from “pipelines and reporting” to data products. • Serve as the primary technology counterpart to Salesforce for agentic + data integration. • Build EP’s “AI platform” capabilities that make AI usable at scale. • Partner with Cyber/InfoSec and Legal/Compliance to implement data protection and AI guardrails. • Establish repeatable operational practices for AI solutions. • Lead and mentor a high-performing AI & data organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience across data platforms, engineering, and/or analytics; with leadership responsibility for enterprise-scale delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience building and operating cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent), including data modeling, governance, security, and cost management.
  • Practical experience enabling enterprise AI tools and building reusable patterns (prompting, retrieval, integrations, evaluation, and adoption).
  • Strong ability to influence at the executive level and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly in business terms.
  • Experience in wealth management, RIA/financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystems (Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce) and integrating enterprise data into CRM workflows.
  • Familiarity with modern governance tooling (catalog, lineage, policy, quality) and practical “governance that enables delivery.”
  • Experience with M&A integration, platform standardization, and modernization in growth environments.
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in data/AI-related field is a plus.
