• Scope and build tools, microservices, workflows, and distributed applications to accelerate data mining and AI training. • Design and implement solutions for streaming, resilience, logging, security, authentication, workflow orchestration, and data management. • Deploy AI models. • Design and develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows enabling hybrid and agentic patterns. • Analyze and operationalize complex distributed systems for speed-of-light performance.
Job Requirements
- Experience developing high-performance, scalable software systems.
- MS with 6+ years, or BS (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Golang
- Proficiency in key technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Hive, Parquet, SQL, vector databases, e.g., Milvus.
- Strong architectural skills with a proactive, problem-solving mentality.
- Experience in data mining | AI development
- Experience building ETL pipelines and working with big data engines.
- Exceptional collaboration skills to work with system software and AI expert teams.
- Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies such as NVIDIA RAPIDS.

Role Description SOSi is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the operational gaps between DoD, IC, interagency, and non-traditional international partners to enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities. - Configure, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters tailored for each IL environment (IL2, IL4, IL5), ensuring support for ESRI ArcGIS services and integration with agency-provided infrastructure from WO-001. - Develop and manage Helm charts and Kubernetes Operators for declarative deployment and automated scaling of ESRI services, including Notebook Server and GeoAnalytics Server. - Configure persistent volume claims and provision container-native storage (e.g., AWS EBS, Azure Disks) to support ESRI workloads, ensuring durability and compliance with backup and recovery policies. - Integrate Kubernetes-native monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Fluentd, or OpenTelemetry) to support observability and IL-compliant reporting across environments. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field, or; five (5) years of equivalent experience in Kubernetes administration. - Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, troubleshooting containerized applications, and implementing service mesh architectures such as Istio or Linkerd. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible is required. - Possess the knowledge and capability to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications in a cloud-native environment using Kubernetes. - Proficient in Kubernetes cluster orchestration, container networking, Helm chart deployment, and automation of CI/CD pipelines. - Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, GCP), security best practices, and Kubernetes monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is required. Requirements - Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
