Controller

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency. • Maintain GAAP compliant financial statements, including balance sheet integrity and variance analysis • Drive continuous improvement in close speed, controls and documentation • Partner with Finance to support management reporting, forecasting and performance analysis • Partner with our Business Intelligence team for revenue accounting for a high volume SaaS model serving over 25k customers • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 across subscription, usage based, credit, refund and promotional models. • Manage deferred revenue, customer balances, payments, chargebacks and related reconciliations at scale. • Partner with RevOps, Business Intelligence, and Customer teams to resolve complex revenue and customer accounting matters • Continuously improve automation and controls within a PLG driven environment • Oversee treasury operations, including cash forecasting, bank relationships and payment flows • Ensure appropriate controls over cash, collections, disbursements and customer funds • Partner with Finance on liquidity management and working capital optimization • Serve as the accounting owner of Netsuite, ensuring system integrity and scalability • Optimize ERP configurations to support reporting, automation and operational efficiency • Lead accounting workstreams related to system integrations, entity migrations or structural changes • Partner cross functionally to support billing, payments and revenue streams from an accounting and controls perspective • Lead accounting support for migrations from internally built or legacy billing platforms to third party solutions ensuring continuity of reporting and compliance. • Oversee and manage an outsourced accounting team handling transactional and operational processes • Establish clear accountability, quality standards and review procedures • Determine appropriate allocation of responsibilities between internal and external resources as the business scales. • Support accounting for multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions and eliminations • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for business combinations and structural changes • Maintain technical accounting documentation and policy alignment across entities • Coordinate with external auditors and advisors as required • Maintain and enhance internal controls in a growth oriented environment • Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits • Ensure audit readiness through disciplined documentation and reconciliations
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities.
- CPA designation
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 in a SaaS environment
- Experience operating in a multi-entity structure and supporting consolidated reporting
- Demonstrated experience integrating acquired or newly formed entities into an existing accounting and ERP environment
- Experience with post close financial integration activities
- Experience supporting or leading migrations from internally built billing or revenue systems to third party platforms.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, settlement flows, fees, refunds and chargebacks in a high volume environment.
- Deep hands on experience with Netsuite
- Experience managing or working closely with an outsourced accounting team
- Background in a high volume, highly transactional business model (PLG or similar)
