Senior Network Engineer

• Senior Cisco network engineering, network security architecture, Zero Trust implementation, segmentation • Lead design decisions and advise CBO stakeholders • Guide the Network Engineer and coordinate with cybersecurity/cloud/Microsoft teams • Produce implementation plans, validation criteria, rollback steps, architecture diagrams, SOPs, RCA reports, and audit-ready evidence • Demonstrate capability in writing technical recommendations, implementation plans, and security impact analysis • Design, implement, operate, and optimize Cisco-based core, distribution, access, and edge environments for availability, scalability, performance, and resilience

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
  • At least 5 years supporting Cisco-based environments at senior engineer, lead engineer, or architecture level
  • Network design, modernization, segmentation, perimeter security, firewall rule review/optimization, 802.1X or NAC deployment
  • SIEM/NDR integration, vulnerability remediation planning, device lifecycle management
  • Federal, legislative branch, defense, financial, healthcare, or other highly regulated experience
  • Certifications: CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Security, or equivalent senior Cisco credentials
  • For strong senior candidates, CCNP plus extensive experience in architecture and security implementation is acceptable
  • Additive: CISSP, CISM, Security+, Cisco CyberOps, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper professional certifications, AWS/Azure networking or security certifications, ITIL, NIST/RMF-related experience
