Regional Sales Manager
MetaOptima
Role Description Join MetaOptima. Make a difference. MetaOptima is transforming dermatology with AI-powered imaging, software, and SaaS solutions. Our products — including OptimaScan and DermEngine — are used by dermatology clinics, skin cancer centers, and healthcare organizations worldwide. We are expanding our commercial presence in Europe and hiring a Regional Sales Manager DACH to build our business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who can open a market, build pipeline from the ground up, sell capital medical technology, and help establish MetaOptima as a next-generation alternative to legacy dermatology imaging systems. You will own DACH sales for OptimaScan, our 3D total body photography system, and DermEngine, our cloud-based dermatology imaging and workflow platform. You will sell directly to strategic accounts, build relationships with dermatologists and clinic groups, support distributor or partner co-selling where appropriate, and represent MetaOptima at key dermatology events across the region. This is not a maintenance sales role. It requires founder-level ownership, strong field presence, clinical credibility, and disciplined execution. Key Responsibilities - Own quota, pipeline, and revenue growth across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. - Sell OptimaScan and DermEngine to private dermatology clinics, dermatology groups, university clinics, skin cancer centers, and specialist healthcare organizations. - Lead full-cycle consultative sales: prospecting, discovery, workflow demos, ROI discussions, procurement, negotiation, close, and implementation handoff. - Demonstrate DermEngine and OptimaScan workflows confidently; you should not need to rely on a sales engineer for every customer interaction. - Build relationships with dermatology key opinion leaders, early adopter clinics, and regional reference sites. - Support distributor and partner opportunities, including joint pipeline, co-selling, events, and deal registration. - Represent MetaOptima at dermatology congresses, workshops, KOL meetings, and selected MedTech events. - Maintain accurate CRM records, weekly forecasts, opportunity stages, next steps, and customer insights. - Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, procurement, reimbursement dynamics, and customer needs. - Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Support, and leadership to improve regional execution. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in B2B medical device, MedTech, dermatology, aesthetics, clinical imaging, healthcare SaaS, or related healthcare technology sales. - Proven success selling capital equipment, clinical systems, recurring software, or hybrid hardware/software solutions into healthcare providers. - Experience selling to private clinics, specialist physicians, hospitals, university clinics, clinic groups, or healthcare organizations. - Strong preference for dermatology, dermoscopy, skin imaging, mole mapping, total body photography, aesthetics imaging, oncology, or clinical imaging experience. - Track record carrying and exceeding meaningful sales quotas, ideally high-six-figure to seven-figure annual targets. - Ability to build a territory from an early stage, including prospecting, pipeline creation, demos, account development, deal progression, and closing. - Native or near-native German and strong professional English. - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical and clinical value into commercial outcomes. - Comfortable with multi-stakeholder sales involving physicians, clinic owners, administrators, procurement teams, and operational buyers. - Strong CRM discipline; experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable systems. - Comfortable in a high-growth environment with high autonomy, lean support, fast iteration, and direct accountability. - Willingness to travel frequently across DACH. Bonus Qualifications - Prior experience in dermatology imaging. - Existing relationships with dermatologists, dermatology groups, university dermatology departments, or skin cancer centers across DACH. - Experience selling medical hardware bundled with recurring SaaS subscriptions. - Familiarity with IGeL/self-pay dynamics, KV context, private-practice economics, hospital procurement, and regulated MedTech sales. - Experience supporting KOL programs, congress workshops, product demonstrations, or clinical education events. - French or Italian language skills for Swiss market coverage. Success in the First Year - Establish MetaOptima’s commercial presence across DACH. - Build a qualified and well-documented sales pipeline. - Close new OptimaScan and DermEngine customers. - Develop referenceable lighthouse accounts. - Build relationships with dermatology KOLs and high-priority clinics. - Help define the right mix of direct sales, distributor coverage, and partner co-selling by country. - Provide market intelligence that improves positioning, pricing, product feedback, and regional strategy. Compensation and Benefits - Competitive base salary with performance-based commission. - Commission accelerators for performance above plan. - Stock options. - Car allowance. - Full travel and business expense coverage. - Phone, laptop, and modern sales tools provided. - Flexible remote / field-based work environment. Why Join MetaOptima? You will help introduce a new generation of dermatology imaging technology into one of the world’s most important dermatology regions. You will work directly with leadership, influence regional strategy, build relationships with leading clinicians, and help establish OptimaScan and DermEngine as core technologies for modern dermatology practices. Join MetaOptima and help transform the future of dermatology imaging.
