Senior Data Engineer – AWS
EY
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, integrate multiple information sources, and ensure data availability and quality for analytical and operational consumption. • Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS services, particularly AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3. • Design and implement ETL processes and data integration between different corporate systems. • Consolidate data from multiple sources into centralized, scalable environments. • Develop complex SQL queries for data transformation, modeling, and analysis. • Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and data governance. • Support initiatives to migrate data platforms to AWS. • Work on evolving cloud data architectures. • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using data visualization tools. • Monitor production environments, identify bottlenecks, and resolve incidents. • Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business needs into data solutions. • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. • Support Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Platform initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong experience in Data Engineering.
- Solid experience with AWS, especially AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and data integration.
- Experience developing ETL pipelines.
- Advanced SQL knowledge.
- Experience consolidating data from multiple sources.
- Experience in complex corporate environments with large-volume datasets.
- Knowledge of data architecture and analytics platforms.
- Troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues in production environments.
- Good communication skills for interacting with technical and business areas.
- Experience working with agile methodologies.
- AWS Certified Data Engineer (advantageous).
- AWS Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certifications (advantageous).
- Experience with Alteryx (advantageous).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or ThoughtSpot (advantageous).
- Knowledge of financial or insurance environments, or large enterprises with a strong data culture (advantageous).
- Experience participating in data migration projects to AWS (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (advantageous).
- Experience with modern data and analytics ecosystems (advantageous).
