Job Description

Technical Delivery Lead – North America

Lateral Group

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand their business objectives, metrics, and value drivers. • Translate those into actionable project scopes, delivery plans, and clear technical requirements. • Work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to align on approach, priorities, and constraints, turning business outcomes into deliverable features. • Serve as the main technical point of contact for the client: set expectations, surface risks early, and ensure communication is transparent, structured, and human. • Track delivery not just by milestones and dates, but by business impact , measuring whether the solution achieves its intended outcomes. • Identify opportunities for improvement or expansion by helping clients see where technology can generate additional value. • Champion clarity and accountability across distributed teams. • Facilitate conversations that keep everyone focused on what matters most.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years experience working in client-facing delivery roles (e.g., Technical PM, Delivery Lead, Product Owner, or similar) where you’ve been responsible for both understanding business needs and guiding technical execution.
  • The ability to speak both languages - you can talk tech: APIs, integrations, architecture, and delivery trade-offs with engineers, but also product/business
  • Proven experience translating business objectives into software deliverables - you’ve turned ambiguity into clear scopes, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills: you help teams make good decisions quickly.
  • A background in software delivery environments, where projects are complex, multi-disciplinary, and business-critical.
  • Comfort working across time zones and cultures. Our teams are remote and globally distributed.

Benefits

  • Real Impact: You’ll work on meaningful products that make a measurable difference - from healthcare and commerce to sustainability and next-gen tech.
  • Remote-First, Office Friendly: Work from wherever you’re most productive - whether that’s your home, a co-working space, or one of our offices.
  • An Outstanding Team: Talented, kind, and hard-working people who care deeply about their craft - and about each other.
  • Growth: You’ll be supported in growing your craft, exploring new paths, and stepping into greater responsibility - at your own pace.
  • A Culture of Excellence: We care deeply about doing the right thing - for our clients, our team, and ourselves.
  • Variety & Stability: We’re profitable, independent, and over a decade strong. Yet every project brings a fresh challenge. You’ll never be bored here.

• Design and build the APIs, and SDKs that power Publish, ensuring they are scalable, well-documented, and reliable for the engineering teams that integrate them into their own codebases. • Contribute to the agentic future of Publish, building the backend infrastructure and APIs that will power AI-driven content creation, management, and publishing workflows. • Act as a technical bridge between the platform and the customer, translating complex enterprise requirements into scalable solutions and shortening the feedback loop between user pain and feature release. • Navigate the complexity of a visual CMS at scale. You are not just shipping features; you are building a platform that must render reliably and integrate seamlessly across wildly diverse customer tech stacks, hosting environments, and design systems. • Shape the technical direction of the Publish platform, leading through code reviews, pair programming, and taking proactive ownership of technical debt and quality issues. You will help raise the technical bar through design docs, architectural decisions, and giving substantive feedback on others' designs. • Drive drama-free launches, anticipating edge cases, surfacing risks early, scoping projects to the right balance of effort and value, and delivering work that stands up to scrutiny.

• Build and ship features across the Publish platform, spanning the visual editing experience, component rendering, and the integrations that make Publish work across diverse customer tech stacks, owning implementation, testing, and production verification. • Work at the intersection of developer infrastructure and non-technical UX, contributing to the hard problem of making a component-driven, code-backed CMS feel seamless for marketers while staying reliable and composable for engineering teams. • Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into well-scoped solutions, surfacing edge cases early and making sensible trade-offs between speed and quality. • Contribute to customer-facing integrations across frameworks, hosting environments, and design systems, ensuring Publish works reliably in the real-world environments our enterprise customers bring. • Participate in the customer feedback loop, reviewing customer session recordings to understand friction, then connecting those insights directly to the features you are building. • Write clean, performant, maintainable code, with particular attention to browser rendering, real-time preview, and component serialization challenges unique to a visual CMS. • Collaborate actively across a global team, writing clear context, reviewing peers' code thoughtfully, and continuously raising the quality bar.
