Welding Inspector – CWI
SGS
• Performs duties as designated by the Project Supervisor/Chief Inspector in accordance with the job requirements outlined in the Purchaser’s specifications • Prepares all appropriate reports, cataloging the day’s welding progress, repairs, and supplemental information • Review Purchaser’s specifications and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures • Work with the contractor as a team to complete necessary work
Job Requirements
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
- Experience with valve replacements, station work, or M&R piping preferred
- Must have experience with Mark up drawings (redlines)
- Track: weld locations, changes made in the field, materials used, ensure everything matches what was installed
- Help create the final turnover package
